I think they all make good motors and while I was looking into purchasing mine I got the serial # and had a buddy who owned a marina run it to see what service it had. As he was an E-tech dealer i went ahead and bought the boat. If you have a marina that you trust and feel comfortable with and find a boat with a motor they support get it. Service is the big factor

Juls, good to know. I had no idea they had a standard FS and then a Pro series and then separated them with hp rating.

thanks everyone for your help; after looking at slightly used 621fs and their price the wife says we should order new and grr what we want. who am I to argue? the new dilemma is options of electronics, it was not this complicated back in 2006. any advise will be greatly appreciated.

anyone have opinions on the 2019 300 pro xs? there isn't a lot out there on them and I'm seeing them on the 621's
