Question Human nature is a funny thing

In the classifieds you often see "serious buyers only" or similar. So I guess that really filters out the interested parties or no one would put it in there right ? Now the new thing is "NO SCAMMERS" as if that would be likely to scare a potential scammer away.

I mean over in Nigeria I am sure they are all sitting around the computer talking about potential targets and steering WAY around the ones that say NO SCAMMERS.

A little common sense here people....

Yup.

It's like wearing a "No Fat Chicks" T-shirt out to the bars...guess what? You're goin' home with a biggun' buddy.

Kinda like a sign on the front door of a business saying "Guns Banned"......I'm sure the criminals turn around and hop right back in the getaway car after reading that!

Well, would a shirt saying "I love fat chicks" change the outcome?

I have found one thing that does seem to work really well when selling on craigslist. I say:

"Please reply with your name and your personal cell phone number, all replies without these will be discarded, so scammers save your time and mine."

Since I have been using that line I have gotten very few replies without a name and phone number, and yes, I don't even bother to look at the ones without. Only serious replies put in what I ask for and if they missed it or forgot to will always try again.

My first thought went to "gun free zone".

For Sale By Owner - glad to see you're not selling stolen merchandise

Or Best Offer - I don't expect to get anywhere near what I'm asking for it

Actually, if you wear that t-shirt, you're going home alone.
