Default Bad Waypoints

I THINK I may have entered some waypoints into my brand new Helix that were not formatted correctly and may have corrupted my unit. Not sure, but from the stuff I've been reading I think so. With that being said, is the only option I have sending it back to Hbird and having them fix it or is it something I can fix? First time Hbird owner and this IS NOT a good way to begin. Thanks in advance!
Brian

Default waypoints

I put some waypoints on the card, entered them, took the card out. Then when I went to menu and then "Waypoints, Track, Routes" I get this alarm, the unit freezes for about 10 seconds, then restarts itself. I can't get past "Waypoints, Track, Routes" to even see if there are waypoints or to even try to delete them.

How did you put them on a card?

Did you use the HBPC program?

That's the problem. I'm not sure which means I probably did not. This is the first time I've used Hbird after 30 years of using Lowrance so I didn't know (until after reading/research) that I needed to use a specific program to format them. So in short, NO I guess I didn't use HBPC.

No problem

Download HBPC to your computer.

https://www.humminbird.com/support/s...birdPC-v-4-6-1

Uses a free gps format converter off the internet to change your existing waypoints to a gpx. format.

Open HBPC and select new file and import your new gpx. file into HBPC.

Download the new converted file from HBPC onto your card.

The waypoints will be in a file called matrix.

Insert card into HB unit and follow the prompts on the screen .

Any snapshots you take on the water will go into a file on the card called snapshot.

Snapshots are not stored in the HB unit itself.

Download Google Earth program and then you can then highlight waypoints in the HBPC waypoints file and click the Google Earth globe inside the HBPC program and you will see your waypoints displayed on the lake from a satellite view.

Easy peasy. Lol

Plenty of people here to help get you there.

Mike F,
Thanks so much for your help. I'll see if I can get this done tomorrow. Really appreciate it!
