Default Leech Lake Info

Heading to Leech the 2nd week of August and was just wondering how the early fall fishing is shaping up. Any responses would be appreciated pertaining to all species...but would like to get into some walleye;small mouth and perch.. anything really...will be staying on the south shore of the east lake.

Walleyes were pretty decent. Didn't catch a ton, but we didn't work very hard either. If you put your time in, (more than us), you should do fine. That was the first time I have fished Leech in 18 years. I plan on going back this fall.

No smallies for us. Wasn't for lack of trying. The majority of our time was spent casting, the largemouths were rockin but no small jaws. Hoping I can find the smallies this September.

Lots of sorting with perch. Few nice ones and a load of dinks.
