Default Trolling four rods

Two lead core and two snap weights. Lead core in the back and snap weight in the front. Is that correct. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Be safe out there!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like it may work, depending on the colors out and the size of the snap weight. I would still avoid any drastic turning, I have learned the hard way enough times to not mix the two if I cant run straight all day.

Personally I would run my weights on the outside on boards and the lead down the shoot. Less chance of wrapping one up.

I run two lead core rods and two snap weight rods together a lot without any problems.
I run all of my rods from the back of the boat and run 10' lead core rods on the outsides pointing at 90 degrees to the longitudinal axis of the boat and level. I run my 8' 6" snap weight rods on the inside at about a 45 degree angle from the longitudinal axis of the boat and also raised at about 45 degrees.
I rarely get tangles and if I do, it's mainly from mistakenly turning too sharply or on the rare occasion when a foul hooked fish will spin into another line.
I use heavy snap weights to minimize the line that I need out to reach depth and I use short leads of 6' to 8' on my lead core. I feel that I can control my lines better with heavy snap weights and short leads on my lead core line.
Everyone does it a bit differently and it's all about what you find works for you on the waters where you fish. There's no right or wrong way to do it.

The only thing I will add is run your highest line in the water column on your furthest board from boat. Then the fish usually pulls it backwards and you can pull it over the top of your closest boards to the boat. I sometimes run 4 boards on each side and never have problems unless a fish gets crazy.

When I ran charters on Lake Michigan, the thing to remember is the longer the line, the farther from the boat you want it. The short line will be in close. I used to average 12 poles, not counting sliders, and this worked well for me. Dont forget to have a lure or two in the prop wash.
