ETEC 15hp Kicker

I'm looking at buying a new 15hp ETEC Evinrude kicker for my Alumacraft Trophy 205. Controls, power trim. Does anyone have one they recently bought? Happy? Price installed? My quote is $7k. Thanks!

i bought a 15HO from Pamp's Outboard 2 years ago. I love it. I think mine was about $4600 installed including the bob's machine static plate. but mine is a tiller

Thanks. I have heard the controls add about $1800-2k... Probably about right.

I just recently shopped for a kicker. I have a 225 etec on my 2050 Ranger so started out looking for an etec kicker. Don't know where you live but found a good price $2800 on the 15 HP kicker at Hanks in IL. I passed after learning that this motor is close to 180 lb. I ended up buying a Mercury 15 HP EFI. The etec kicker is still showing up on Hank's website so you might give them a call if your interested. It's a long shift, new with 10 year warranty.

Evinrude has 2 different 15 HP kickers.

One is the 15 HO which is a deturned 25 and is not a portable motor. It is designed for larger multi-species boats and is the E-TEC design and has lots of pushing power.

The other Evinrude 15 is a 4-stroke lighter weight motor which can be purchased with power trim and built by Tohatsu.
