Like some have said, I don't mind waiting on a ramp if they are trying, I will help if it looks like it's needed or will just wait, ain't the end of the world if it takes them a bit longer.
If they decide it's time to wipe down the boat and unload it, while the 4 kids and wife are off using the portapotty 2 blocks away, I might have a word or two explaining to them the error of their ways.

As far as the left lane thing, here in MN the signs/law say slower traffic keep right, I don't care who your related to or what you think of the way others drive, if someone is tailgating you in the left lane, move the f over when safe to do so, asap.

I hate to say it as I enjoy driving, but it will be nice someday to get in my truck and plug in Lake Vermillion and take a nap while the computer drives my truck to the lake.
I won't have to deal with all those who think talking on the phone while eating a big mac and putting their make up on is driving well, and not have to deal with the captains of the road who think they are more important than anybody else and they can drive anyway they see fit and others have to obey them.

You will not see self driving cars in your lifetime. A little boy chases a dog onto the road. Will the self driving car hit the boy or the dog?

When my grandmother was born cars hardly existed. When she died there were cellphones and people in space. Donít bet on things being impossible in a span of a few years.

Good on you Gerry, you are the exception to the rule, or so it seems. Even if your backing was not stellar on the ramp the first time, at least you had a clue.
Guess I should be more patient. I learned backing trailers on the farm , before I had an actual drivers lic. I'm sure some cows rolled their eyes watching me trying to back a trailer on my first few attempts. And it wasn't a busy ramp either.
Memorial Day weekend is a big boating day in my neck of the woods. Seems many first time boat owners put them in the water the first time on that weekend. I often considered setting up a video camera at one of the popular ramps and filming it. I'm sure I would win a prize on America's Funniest Home Videos show.

My 2019 Honda has Adjustable Cruise Control, Lane Assist,Sonar and something else ... on the 900+ miles drive I barely touch gas/break outside of driving thru large cities. However, if I dont keep hands on the steering wheel for X seconds, it will start beeping ..the future is now.

Lots of government concern for our safety when in a vehicle, but not so much once you are out of a vehicle. Acres & acres of vehicles here in Michigan sit undelivered awaiting the latest and greatest miniscule chip so that we can have a bunch of 21st century standard technology on our vehicles that the majority do not want and can't really afford. How did we make it to our golden years after riding into town in the the rear bed of a pick-up years ago that only had a heater and AM radio for add-ons?? Makes you wonder how much we are all paying for vehicle features that are just necessary for the 0.001% The latest one is standard ultrasonic rear seat passenger detection that will warn you if you left little Tommy in the rear seat before running in to the casino for the afternoon. I guess we are all lucky to be alive.
