Default SST transom and kicker

A friend of mine is looking on buying a use Crestliner 1950 Sportfish with a SST transom and he would like to know if there is enough space on that kind of transom to add a kicker.(9.9).
I once saw a 2150 with a kicker but the boat is a little bit larger so he would like to know for a 1950
If somebody can give me an answer he will appreciated.
Thanks
