Emmerson Quiet Cool is the only brand listed at a 5 of 5 rating for dependability on Consumer reports. About $300 give or take for various sizes. The rest are all rated 2 or 3 out of five. Bob

Contacted Honeywell today, after sending pictures and purchase documentation, they are sending out a new replacement unit.
