I just got off the big pond. Pretty windy by Garrison so I did not open it up. Going about 5-10 mph it seems to be working as it should now. Couple things I did, not really sure if it worked or if I was just not going fast enough. Updated to latest software. Set both gps 1 and gps 2 to external gps.

I will update again once I really get to open it up.

I am wondering why you set GPS #2 to external? I was under the impression that it would only go to GPS #2 if there was a problem with the first GPS?

We used to fish that pond years ago. In fact we had an RV at Garrison for a couple of years. Small world!

Glad to hear you thnk you have made progress. Keep us updated as you test more.

Thanks!

My I understanding is the same as yours. Gps 1 is the main and gps 2 is the backup in case something happens to heading sensor puck. First time I’ve tried it on this setting so not sure if it was the fix. For whatever reason it seemed to be working correctly today with the couple things I did. Will test next time I’m out in better conditions. I’ll keep you posted.

Jak, I just reread your post. When you say boat is 45-80 degrees off travel, do you mean that when, for example you are going towards boat launch with nose pointed directly at it, your boat icon is pointed 45-80 degrees in different direction?

Yes! But only part of the time?

Finally got out this weekend. Everything works as it should. Ran it wide open on Frazer and Wakemup bay, ran it slow through Oak Narrows going to and from bay to bay, spot locked and fished multiple areas. Again only thing done was update to the latest software and changed both GPS 1 & 2 to external using the puck. Hope you figured yours out.

Glad you are squared away. Maybe something was cleared out with the reset to defaults on the update. Bob

Thanks for the update! It is appreciated! I may still wait just a bit before I take the plunge. It is nice to hear you got it fixed AND that you have NOT discovered any new issues with the update, as of yet.

Thanks again!!!

Brother, JAK,
I am having the same problem as in 90 offset of icon to direction heading and not all the time like you guys.

My set up has 2 Helix12 G3N, Helix10 G3N, Ulterra I-Pilot Link, AS GPS all networked. I have not figured out my problem yet and HB CS has not been very helpful.
Brother what did you do to solve your problem and JAK are you still having your problem?
My boat is always on the big pond but on the East side. I have not been able to check on other bodies of water but should not mater.
I will be playing around with this over the next couple of days.

I think a software upgrade like brother did will probably fix the issue. However, I am still waiting to see if any other issues crop up out of the update before installing it myself. I plan on waiting another month or so.
