In my experience seniors are more likely to overharvest and take lots of fish out of the lake for consumption. They also tend to be retired and fish quite a bit more than others

They should be paying more for their license as a result. Maybe a daily rate for them would make sense.

Let's not take this thread off course with "Opinions". I am interested as to other states resident Senior Fishing License and related license fees. Any further opinionated Off Topic posts will just get dusted!

No discount on hunting licenses with the exception of small game which is half the price.

Several discounts for veterans and Purple Heart recipients. We have more discounted hunting licenses for Juniors (10 - 17) than we do for Seniors.
WI has a disabled veterans license which is $3 If they are over 70% disabled. I learned that several years ago.

And I seem to fish less...ha

They also give a FREE PASS to state parks,.

Kevlar, don't leave home without it. And yes, revenge is always sweet and karma's a *****. So play nice y'all.

My Illinois lifetime hunting/fishing license purchased 14 years ago +/- when I was in my mid 30's cost me 20x' the annual rate at that time. Once I reach Sr status, I pay $0.00 but would still need to pay for salmon stamp, habitat stamp, and deer tags as desired. Along with that I will retain resident privileges for life regardless of where I live. No non-resident lottery for deer tags etc. I recommend buying one for your children. Even before they're required to have a license. In doing so, you avoid any potential fee increase as well. Get locked in. I. Missed being grandfathered in for exemption from habitat a stamp by 1 year.
