Thanks for the encouragement. I am a pretty good trout fisherman and decent at catching lm bass but I grew up doing that. I plain stink at walleye fishing. I have caught some in lakes but never in a river. I have spent close to ten days trying for them on the Upper Delaware and the Susquehanna and still haven't caught a fish. I am probably doing something way wrong. I am starting to think the lures that I am using are too big, I'm fishing them wrong, or both. I'm figure I am paying my dues.

I have been fishing most of the day and have not caught anything. I'm going to stick with it a couple more hours in case the lower light helps. Anyone else out?

They finally turned on or something. I ended up catching 3 walleyes. They were 18”, 22” and a big 26 or 27 incher. I finally had some success.

my next trip to the river is going to be about catties, they should be hitting pretty good. i caught 1 Friday fishing for eyes so its probably time to let the walleye do there thing and harrass the cats with some cut bait.

I did not work today so I tried fishing in the Delaware River near Milford. I didn’t get a bite. I did talk to a guy who caught 3 walleye from a boat. I’ll bring my kayak the next time I try up there. The water was really clear.

That's a trophy walleye out of either of the rivers, congratulations on breaking the 30" mark!

Anyone get to fishing the fall bite? We finally got back on the river Friday and had a decent day. Landed 12-15 and got to scratch the itch. Hope the ice stays away so we can keep after them through the winter.
