Arrow Generate your own map or improve a existing map

Something that a lot of people are not aware of is the fact that you can generate a map live on your screen using the new Lowrance HOOK2 or you can also improve an existing map.

You need 2 things: a HOOK2 and a alive Navionics subcription. You can record thousands of hours of recording.

Is there a way to do this if you just have the phone version of Nav?

Record to SD then transfer to PC?

I do it with my ipad, but you need a Sonar Phone Tbox to send the wifi signal from your transducer to Navionics app on your ipad.

That's cool. I didn't know you could do mapping with the Hook2, but if you are recording thousands of hours you will be paying $100's or more to do it since the subscription is $100 a year plus $150-$200 for the card correct?

There is some unit that comes with a Navionics in bundle and choosing one of those the card cost you around $75. Yes the subcription cost $99/year but if you always fish the same body of water you can still use your own mapping that you log and still use it; those files stays on your card.
