Default Lund Impact seat bases

The drivers seat on my Impact was to low built the seat up with wood 2 inches is the height that I found the best for me (I'm 5'10"). So I ordered a new seat base for drivers seat original was 9 inches tall one I have coming is 11 inches tall which will resolve that issue. While I was doing this I noticed that the back seat bases are turned the wrong way they have the cut off base so you can remove the floor over the fuel tank. I have had the boat for a year just never noticed this before now but I would have thought the factory would have caught this. Not a big deal I will probably pull them up and install correctly wonder how many others are done this way.

Interesting. Do you have a flip bench that rests on the floor where the cutout is?

Yes I have the flip down seats which I just discovered is why the cutoff faces the way it does they did it right I was wrong. I tried turning them and discovered the reasoning behind what they did. Not the first time I have been wrong.

After reading your first post I went out and checked by bases, they were like yours but like you discovered why. I was going to come on here and tell you what I discovered but you beat me to it.
