Any one ever see or hear about the Ultera come out of the water to stow itself with prop running and turn maintain course and hit the boat with the running prop ?

Are you saying that you had this happen, or speculating whether or not it could? I don't know that it could. It seems to have a pretty specific routine that it does when stowing. Alignment for sure and I'd sure guess it would stop the powerhead as soon as you pressed stow. I've always stopped mine first, but I can sure try it once and see.

When I hit stow on mine, it shuts down, aligns the power head / drive unit & brings it up to the stowed position with no issues.

I have stowed both with it running and with shutting it down before hitting the stow button.

BB.
Sounds like something is broken in the motor.

If you can not resolve it by unplugging the motor - letting it sit for 30 minutes and then plugging it back in to reboot the motor - take the motor in for service.

Good luck

Happened to a friend of mine. Trying to figure out why.

I can only guess operator error? I haven't tried trimming it all the way up to see where it stops and if the prop will auto stop, but about the best guess I have is he just trimmed up rather than stowing.

That's a good thought, he did not touch anything.

I hit stow all the time on my Ulterra with the motor running (sometimes without even trying!) . First thing it does is stop the propellor. There is a trim sensor, so the motor doesnít have all of its functions if it is trimmed too high.
